s 64 Power of Commission to inspect books, etc., of co-operative societies
The Commission, or any public officer authorized by him generally or specially in writing, may inspect, with or without notice, any cooperative society and for the purpose of such inspection shall have access to all the books, accounts, documents and securities of a cooperative society and its related corporation or subsidiaries, if any, and shall be entitled to inspect the cash in hand; and every officer (including any past officer) of the co-operative society and its related corporation or subsidiaries, if any, shall furnish such information and produce such books, accounts, documents and securities in regard to the transactions and working of the co-operative society and its related corporation or subsidiaries, if any, as the person making such inspection may require: Provided that, so far as is consistent with the conduct of the inspection, such books, accounts, documents, securities and cash shall not be required to be produced at such times or at such places as may interfere with the proper conduct of the normal daily business of that co-operative society or its related corporation.
