Dental Act 1971 s 37

s 37 Prohibition of practice of dentistry by unregistered persons

(1) Subject to subsection 38(4) no person other than a registered dental practitioner shall practise dentistry: Provided that nothing in this section shall operate to prevent the extraction of teeth for the relief of pain or the application of remedies for such purposes, by registered medical practitioners, and by other persons in the public service working directly under the orders and supervision of a registered dental surgeon. (2) Any person who acts in contravention of this section shall be guilty of an offence against this Act.
