Malaysian Red Crescent Society (Incorporation) Act 1965 s 2
s 2 Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—
“appointed day” means the day on which this Act comes into operation;
“Branch” means any of the Branches of the British Red Cross Society in Sabah or Sarawak;
“Council” means the Council constituted under section 6;
“Corporation” means the body incorporated under the name of Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (or in English the Malaysian Red Crescent Society) by this Act;

“former Corporation” means the body incorporated under the name of the Federation of Malaya Red Cross Society by the Federation of Malaya Red Cross Society (Incorporation) Act 1962 [Act No. 4 of 1962];
“Minister” means the Minister charged with the responsibility for social welfare

Dalam Akta ini, melainkan jika konteksnya menghendaki makna yang lain—
“hari yang ditetapkan” ertinya hari yang Akta ini mula berkuat kuasa;

“Cawangan” ertinya mana-mana Cawangan Persatuan Palang Merah British di Sabah atau Sarawak;
“Majlis” ertinya Majlis yang ditubuhkan di bawah seksyen 6;
“Perbadanan” ertinya badan yang diperbadankan di bawah nama Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (atau dalam bahasa Inggeris Malaysian Red Crescent Society) oleh Akta ini;
“Perbadanan terdahulu” ertinya badan yang diperbadankan di bawah nama Persatuan Palang Merah Persekutuan Tanah Melayu oleh Akta Persatuan Palang Merah Persekutuan Tanah Melayu (Pemerbadanan) 1962 [Akta No. 4 tahun 1962];
“Menteri” ertinya Menteri yang dipertanggungkan dengan tanggungjawab bagi kebajikan masyarakat.
