Standards of Malaysia Act 1996 s 20
Where any written law confers power to prescribe or define, whether by subsidiary legislation or otherwise, any characteristics of any commodity, process, practice or service, those characteristics or any of them may be prescribed or defined by reference to any standard specification or part thereof.
Ciri-ciri komoditi, dsb., boleh ditetapkan dengan merujuk kepada penentuan standard
Jika mana-mana undang-undang bertulis memberikan kuasa untuk menetapkan atau menentukan, sama ada melalui perundangan subsidiari atau selainnya, apa-apa ciri bagi apa-apa komoditi, proses, amalan atau perkhidmatan, ciri-ciri itu atau mana-mana daripadanya boleh ditetapkan atau ditentukan dengan merujuk kepada manamana penentuan standard atau bahagiannya.
