s 65 Interpretation of investigating officer
In this Part, “investigating officer” means—
(a) the Registrar General, Deputy Registrar General, Registrar, Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrar;
(b) a police officer not below the rank of an Inspector; and
(c) any other public officer authorized in writing by the Registrar General to perform such duties relating to enforcement and investigation under this Part as may be specified in the authorization.

Tafsiran pegawai penyiasat
Dalam Bahagian ini, “pegawai penyiasat” ertinya—
(a) Ketua Pendaftar, Timbalan Ketua Pendaftar, Pendaftar, Timbalan Pendaftar dan Penolong Pendaftar;
(b) pegawai polis yang berpangkat tidak rendah daripada Inspektor; dan
(c) mana-mana pegawai awam lain yang diberi kuasa secara bertulis oleh Ketua Pendaftar untuk melaksanakan apaapa kewajipan berhubungan dengan penguatkuasaan dan penyiasatan di bawah Bahagian ini sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam pemberikuasaan itu.
