Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996 s 95
This Act shall not apply to— (a) an educational institution established by the Minister under or deemed to have been established under the Education Act 1996 [Act 550]; (b) an institution established under the Institute Technology MARA Act 1976 [Act 173]; (c) a University or University College established under the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971; or (d) an educational institution established under any other written law.

Akta ini tidak terpakai bagi— (a) institusi pendidikan yang ditubuhkan oleh Menteri di bawah atau disifatkan telah ditubuhkan di bawah Akta Pendidikan 1996 [Akta 550]; (b) institusi yang ditubuhkan di bawah Akta Universiti Teknologi MARA 1976 [Akta 173]; (c) Universiti atau Kolej Universiti yang ditubuhkan di bawah Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti 1971; atau (d) institusi pendidikan yang ditubuhkan di bawah manamana undang-undang bertulis lain.
