s 9 Short term licences
(1) Where an application has been made for a licence under this Act, the Commissioner may, if for administrative reasons or on the ground of the urgency of the matter he thinks it desirable so to do pending the determination of the application, grant to the applicant a short term licence for such period and subject to such conditions as he thinks fit.
(2) A short term licence shall cease to have effect from the date on which the Commissioner gives his decision on the application and in no case shall have effect for more than six months.

Lesen jangka pendek
(1) Jika sesuatu permohonan telah dibuat bagi mendapatkan lesen di bawah Akta ini, Pesuruhjaya boleh, jika atas sebab-sebab pentadbiran atau atas alasan keterdesakan perkara itu difikirkannya perlu dibuat sedemikian sementara menunggu permohonan itu diputuskan, memberikan suatu lesen jangka pendek kepada pemohon bagi apa-apa tempoh dan tertakluk kepada apa-apa syarat yang difikirkannya patut.
(2) Lesen jangka pendek terhenti berkuat kuasa dari tarikh Pesuruhjaya memberikan keputusannya atas permohonan itu dan tidak sekali-kali boleh berkuat kuasa lebih daripada enam bulan.
