East Coast Economic Region Development Council Act 2008 s 48
The Council shall have the power to establish or expand, or promote the establishment or expansion of companies under the Companies Act 1965 [Act 125] or other bodies— (a) to perform any of its functions or carry out any of its powers; or (b) to carry out and have the charge, conduct and management of any project, scheme or enterprise which has been planned or undertaken by the Council in the performance of its functions or the exercise of its powers.
Kuasa untuk menubuhkan syarikat
Majlis hendaklah mempunyai kuasa untuk menubuhkan atau memajukan, atau menggalakkan penubuhan atau pembesaran syarikat di bawah Akta Syarikat 1965 [Akta 125] atau badan-badan lain— (a) untuk melaksanakan mana-mana fungsi atau menjalankan apa-apa kuasa Majlis; atau (b) untuk menjalankan dan menjaga, mengelola dan menguruskan apa-apa projek, skim atau perusahaan yang telah dirancangkan atau dijalankan oleh Majlis dalam melaksanakan fungsinya atau menjalankan kuasanya.
