East Coast Economic Region Development Council Act 2008 s 52
Every member of the Council, the Implementation and Coordination Committees, any committee, the Chief Executive, any officer, servant or agent of the Council, while discharging his duty under this Act as such member, Chief Executive, officer, servant or agent, shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of the Penal Code.
Pekhidmat awam
Tiap-tiap anggota Majlis, Jawatankuasa Pelaksanaan dan Penyelarasan, mana-mana jawatankuasa, Ketua Eksekutif, manamana pegawai, pekhidmat atau ejen Majlis, semasa menunaikan kewajipan mereka di bawah Akta ini sebagai anggota, Ketua Eksekutif, pegawai, pekhidmat atau ejen sedemikian, hendaklah disifatkan sebagai pekhidmat awam mengikut pengertian Kanun Keseksaan.
