(1) The Director General may recommend to the Attorney General that the protection and assistance provided to a participant under the Programme be terminated by the Attorney General, where—
(a) the participant had knowingly given information that is false or misleading;
(b) the participant’s conduct or threatened conduct is, in the opinion of the Director General, likely to compromise the integrity of the Programme;
(c) the circumstances that gave rise to the need for protection and assistance for the participant cease to exist; or
(d) there is, in the opinion of the Director General, no reasonable justification for the participant to remain in the Programme.
(2) The Attorney General upon receiving the recommendation under subsection (1) shall decide whether or not to terminate the protection and assistance provided to the participant under the Programme.
(3) The Attorney General shall give a participant an opportunity to be heard before making his decision under subsection (2).
(4) The provisions of subsection (3) shall not apply where the Attorney General does not know the participant’s whereabouts.
(5) Where a participant has been given an opportunity to be heard and the participant fails to make any representation, the Attorney General shall proceed to make a decision on the recommendation submitted.
(6) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a participant may make a request in writing to the Director General that the protection and assistance provided under the Programme be terminated by the Attorney General.
(7) Upon receipt of a request under subsection (6), the Director General shall make a recommendation to the Attorney General for his decision.
(8) If a participant is aggrieved by the decision of the Attorney General under subsection (2) or (7), he may appeal in writing to the Minister within fourteen days from the date of receipt of the decision.
(9) Where an appeal is made under subsection (2) or (7)—
(a) the Attorney General shall submit his grounds of decision together with the recommendation of the Director General under subsection (1) or (7) to the Minister; and
(b) a participant shall remain in the Programme until a decision on the appeal is made by the Minister.
(10) The Minister shall, upon receipt of an appeal under subsection (8), make a decision on the appeal.
(11) Upon termination of the protection and assistance provided under the Programme to a participant, the Director General may where it is expedient and necessary—
(a) notify the participant of the termination; and
(b) notify the relevant public services and public authorities of the termination.

Penamatan perlindungan dan bantuan
(1) Ketua Pengarah boleh mengesyorkan kepada Peguam Negara bahawa perlindungan dan bantuan yang diberikan kepada seseorang peserta di bawah Program ditamatkan oleh Peguam Negara, jika—
(a) peserta itu telah memberikan maklumat yang diketahuinya adalah palsu atau mengelirukan;
(b) kelakuan atau kelakuan yang mengugut peserta itu adalah, pada pendapat Ketua Pengarah, berkemungkinan menjejaskan integriti Program;
(c) hal keadaan yang menimbulkan keperluan bagi perlindungan dan bantuan bagi peserta itu tidak wujud; atau
(d) pada pendapat Ketua Pengarah, tiada justifikasi yang munasabah bagi peserta itu terus berada dalam Program.
(2) Peguam Negara hendaklah apabila menerima syor di bawah subseksyen (1) memutuskan sama ada untuk menamatkan perlindungan dan bantuan yang diberikan kepada peserta itu di bawah Program atau tidak.
(3) Peguam Negara hendaklah memberikan kepada seseorang peserta suatu peluang untuk didengar sebelum membuat keputusannya di bawah subseksyen (2).
(4) Peruntukan subseksyen (3) tidak terpakai jika Peguam Negara tidak mengetahui di mana peserta itu berada.
(5) Jika seseorang peserta telah diberikan peluang untuk didengar dan peserta itu tidak membuat apa-apa representasi, Peguam Negara hendaklah terus membuat keputusan atas syor yang dikemukakan.
(6) Walau apa pun subseksyen (1), seseorang peserta boleh membuat permintaan secara bertulis kepada Ketua Pengarah supaya perlindungan dan bantuan yang diberikan di bawah Program ditamatkan oleh Peguam Negara.
(7) Apabila menerima permintaan di bawah subseksyen (6), Ketua Pengarah hendaklah membuat syor kepada Peguam Negara untuk keputusannya.
(8) Jika seseorang peserta terkilan dengan keputusan Peguam Negara di bawah subseksyen (2) atau (7), dia boleh merayu secara bertulis kepada Menteri dalam masa empat belas hari dari tarikh penerimaan keputusan itu.
(9) Jika suatu rayuan dibuat di bawah subseksyen (2) atau (7)—
(a) Peguam Negara hendaklah mengemukakan alasan keputusannya berserta syor Ketua Pengarah di bawah subseksyen (1) atau (7) kepada Menteri; dan
(b) seseorang peserta hendaklah terus berada dalam Program sehingga suatu keputusan mengenai rayuan itu dibuat oleh Menteri.
(10) Menteri hendaklah, apabila menerima suatu rayuan di bawah subseksyen (8), membuat keputusan atas rayuan itu.
(11) Apabila perlindungan dan bantuan yang diberikan di bawah Program kepada seseorang peserta ditamatkan, Ketua Pengarah boleh jika suai manfaat dan perlu—
(a) memberitahu peserta itu mengenai penamatan itu; dan
(b) memberitahu perkhidmatan awam dan pihak berkuasa awam yang berkaitan mengenai penamatan itu.
