s 14 Sample given voluntarily

(1) Any person, other than the person whose intimate sample or non-intimate sample may be taken under sections 12 and 13, may voluntarily give an appropriate consent in the prescribed form to a police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police for the taking of his intimate sample or non-intimate sample. (2) Where an appropriate consent is given under subsection (1), a police officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police shall, before the taking of the intimate sample or non-intimate sample, inform the person from whom the sample is to be taken— (a) that the DNA profiles and any information in relation thereto derived from the intimate sample or non-intimate sample may be stored in the DNA Databank and may be used for the purposes of forensic DNA analysis, police inquiry and for such purposes referred to in section 11; (b) that he may make a request to a police officer for an access to the information; and (c) that he may at any time withdraw his consent given under subsection (1).

Sampel diberikan secara sukarela

(1) Mana-mana orang, selain orang yang sampel intim atau sampel bukan intimnya boleh diambil di bawah seksyen 12 dan 13, boleh secara sukarela memberikan suatu keizinan yang berkenaan dalam borang yang ditetapkan kepada seorang pegawai polis yang berpangkat tidak rendah daripada Timbalan Penguasa Polis bagi pengambilan suatu sampel intim atau sampel bukan intim daripadanya. (2) Jika suatu keizinan yang berkenaan diberikan di bawah subseksyen (1), seorang pegawai polis yang berpangkat tidak rendah daripada Timbalan Penguasa Polis hendaklah, sebelum pengambilan suatu sampel intim atau sampel bukan intim, memberitahu orang yang daripadanya sesuatu sampel itu akan diambil— (a) bahawa profil DNA dan apa-apa maklumat berhubung dengannya yang diperoleh daripada sampel intim atau sampel bukan intim boleh disimpan di dalam Bank Data DNA dan boleh digunakan bagi maksud analisis forensik DNA, siasatan polis dan bagi apa-apa maksud yang disebut dalam seksyen 11; (b) bahawa dia boleh membuat suatu permintaan kepada seorang pegawai polis bagi suatu akses kepada maklumat itu; dan (c) bahawa dia boleh pada bila-bila masa menarik balik kebenaran yang diberikan di bawah subseksyen (1).
