s 19 Unauthorized use or communication of DNA profile or information
(1) No person who receives a DNA profile for entry in the DNA Databank or who has access to information contained in the DNA Databank shall, except in accordance with sections 11 and 22, use or communicate such DNA profile or any information in relation thereto to be used or communicated other than for the purpose of this Act.
(2) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to both.

Penggunaan atau pemakluman tanpa kebenaran profil atau maklumat DNA
(1) Tiada seorang pun yang menerima suatu profil DNA untuk dimasukkan ke dalam Bank Data DNA atau yang mempunyai akses kepada maklumat yang terkandung di dalam Bank Data DNA boleh, kecuali mengikut seksyen 11 dan 22, menggunakan atau memaklumkan profil DNA atau apa-apa maklumat berhubung dengannya untuk digunakan atau dimaklumkan selain bagi maksud Akta ini.
(2) Mana-mana orang yang melanggar subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi lima tahun atau didenda tidak melebihi lima puluh ribu ringgit atau kedua-duanya.
