s 9 The Kawasan Muda
(1) For the purposes of this Act, the Minister may, after consultation with the Government of the States of Kedah and Perlis, from time to time, determine by notification in the Gazette the area or areas within which the Authority shall perform its
functions under this Act and such area or areas shall be known as the “Kawasan Muda”.
(2) Notwithstanding any other written law, it shall be the responsibility of the Authority to exercise the functions provided by this Act in the Kawasan Muda.

(1), Bagı maksud Akta inı Menteri boleh, selepas berundıng dengan Kerajaan Negeri Kedah dan Negeri Perlis, dari semasa ke semasa, menetapkan melalui pemberitahuan dalam Warta kawasan yang di dalamnya Lembaga akan menjalankan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini dan kawasan itu hendaklah dinamakan sebagai "Kawasan Muda"
(2) Walau apa pun peruntukan mana-mana undang-undang bertulis yang lain, hendaklah menjadi tanggungjawab Lembaga menjalankan fungsi yang diperuntukkan oleh Akta ini dalam Kawasan Muda. Fungsi tambahan Lembaga
