In this Chapter, a reference to a policy is a reference to a family takaful policy in respect of the life of the policy holder including a life policy under section 23 of the Civil Law Act 1956 [Act 67], and a family takaful policy in respect of personal accident effected by a policy owner upon his own family providing for payment of policy moneys on his death.

Dalam Bab ini, sebutan mengenai sesuatu polisi ialah sebutan mengenai polisi takaful keluarga berkenaan dengan nyawa pemegang polisi termasuk polisi nyawa di bawah seksyen 23 Akta Undang-Undang Sivil 1956 [Akta 67], dan suatu polisi takaful keluarga berkenaan dengan kemalangan diri yang dilaksanakan oleh pemunya polisi kepada keluarganya sendiri yang memberikan bayaran wang polisi atas kematiannya.
