s 146 Registration of persons who process personal data before the date of coming into operation of this Act
(1) Subject to subsection (2), any person who at the date of coming into operation of this Act either alone or jointly or in common with other persons processes any personal data or has control over or authorizes the processing of any personal data, shall within three months from the date of coming into operation of this Act be registered as a data user in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
(2) Subsection (1) shall not apply to a data user who does not belong to the class of data users who shall be required to be registered as data users in pursuance of the provisions of Division 2 of Part II.

Pendaftaran orang yang memproses data peribadi sebelum tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Akta ini
(1) Tertakluk kepada subseksyen (2), mana-mana orang yang pada tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Akta ini, sama ada dia sendiri atau bersesama atau bersama dengan orang lain, memproses apaapa data peribadi atau mempunyai kawalan atau membenarkan pemprosesan apa-apa data peribadi, hendaklah dalam masa tiga bulan dari tarikh permulaan kuat kuasa Akta ini didaftarkan sebagai seorang pengguna data mengikut peruntukan Akta ini.
(2) Subseksyen (1) tidak terpakai bagi seseorang pengguna data yang tidak tergolong dalam golongan pengguna data yang dikehendaki untuk berdaftar sebagai pengguna data menurut peruntukan Penggal 2 Bahagian II.
