s 8 Temporary exercise of functions of Chairman
(1) When the office of the Chairman is vacant or the Chairman is absent from duty in Malaysia or the Chairman is, for any other reason, unable to perform the duties of his office, the member appointed under subsection 6(2) shall temporarily act as the Chairman, and if that member is for any reason unable to act under this subsection, the member under subparagraph 6(1)(c)(i) shall act as the Chairman.
(2) A member acting as the Chairman under subsection (1) shall be deemed to be the Chairman.

Penjalanan sementara fungsi Pengerusi
(1) Apabila jawatan Pengerusi kosong atau Pengerusi tidak hadir bertugas di Malaysia atau Pengerusi, atas apa-apa sebab lain, tidak dapat menjalankan kewajipan jawatannya, anggota yang dilantik di bawah subseksyen 6(2) hendaklah secara sementara bertindak sebagai Pengerusi, dan jika anggota itu atas apa-apa sebab tidak dapat bertindak di bawah subseksyen ini, anggota di bawah subperenggan 6(1)(c)(i) hendaklah bertindak sebagai Pengerusi.
(2) Seseorang anggota yang bertindak sebagai Pengerusi di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah disifatkan sebagai Pengerusi.
