s 151 Address for service
(1) For the purposes of this Act, an address for service in Malaysia of an applicant, any person who opposes the registration of a trademark or any other person who is involved in any proceedings before the Registrar, who is residing or carrying on business principally in Malaysia shall be furnished with the Registrar in the manner as determined by the Registrar.
(2) The address furnished with the Registrar under subsection (1) shall be entered into the Registrar’s record or Register and shall be deemed to be the address for service of the person under subsection (1) for all the proceedings before the Registrar.
(3) An address for service may be changed upon notifying the Registrar in the form as determined by him and within the prescribed period which shall be entered into the Registrar’s record or Register.
(4) Upon receipt of the request for change in subsection (3) together with the payment of the prescribed fee, the Registrar shall change the address for service of the person under subsection (1) which may affect some or all of his applications for registration or registered trademarks.
(5) The Registrar may refuse to proceed with the application or registration of trademark if the address of service as stated in subsection (1) is not furnished.
(6) If the person stated in subsection (1) is not residing or carrying on business in Malaysia, he shall appoint and authorize a registered trademark agent to act for him in the prescribed manner.
(7) When the person mentioned in subsection (1) appoints and authorizes a registered trademark agent to act for him, the address of service of the registered trademark agent which shall be entered into the Registrar’s record or Register, shall be deemed to be the address for service of the person under subsection (1) for all proceedings before the Registrar.

Alamat bagi penyampaian
(1) Bagi maksud Akta ini, suatu alamat bagi penyampaian di Malaysia seorang pemohon, mana-mana orang yang membangkang pendaftaran cap dagangan atau mana-mana orang lain yang terlibat dalam apa-apa prosiding di hadapan Pendaftar, yang menetap atau menjalankan perniagaan secara prinsipalnya di Malaysia hendaklah diberikan kepada Pendaftar mengikut cara sebagaimana ditentukan oleh Pendaftar.
(2) Alamat yang diberikan kepada Pendaftar di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah dicatatkan ke dalam rekod Pendaftar atau Daftar dan hendaklah disifatkan sebagai alamat bagi penyampaian orang itu di bawah subseksyen (1) bagi semua prosiding di hadapan Pendaftar.
(3) Alamat bagi penyampaian boleh diubah dengan memberitahu Pendaftar dalam bentuk yang ditentukan olehnya dan dalam tempoh yang ditetapkan yang hendaklah dicatatkan ke dalam rekod Pendaftar atau Daftar.
(4) S e t e l a h m e n e r i m a p e r m i n t a a n p e r u b a h a n d a l a m subseksyen (3), bersama-sama dengan pembayaran fi yang ditetapkan, Pendaftar hendaklah mengubah alamat bagi penyampaian orang di bawah subseksyen (1) yang boleh menjejaskan sebahagian atau semua permohonannya untuk pendaftaran atau cap dagangan berdaftar.
(5) Pendaftar boleh enggan meneruskan permohonan atau pendaftaran cap dagangan jika alamat bagi penyampaian sebagaimana yang dinyatakan dalam subseksyen (1) tidak diberikan.
(6) Jika orang yang dinyatakan dalam subseksyen (1) tidak menetap atau menjalankan perniagaan di Malaysia, dia hendaklah melantik dan memberi kuasa kepada ejen cap dagangan berdaftar untuk bertindak baginya mengikut cara yang ditetapkan.
(7) Apabila orang yang disebut dalam subseksyen (1) melantik dan memberi kuasa kepada ejen cap dagangan berdaftar untuk bertindak baginya, alamat penyampaian ejen cap dagangan berdaftar yang hendaklah dicatatkan ke dalam rekod Pendaftar atau Daftar itu, hendaklah disifatkan sebagai alamat bagi penyampaian orang di bawah subseksyen (1) bagi semua prosiding di hadapan Pendaftar.
