s 18 Appeals

Any local society or office-bearer or member of such local society or any other person who is aggrieved by the decision of the Registrar in any of the following cases: (a) cancellation of the registration of the society under section 2A; (b) refusal to register the society under section 7; (c) refusal to grant exemption under subsection 9A(4) to a disqualified person to hold office in any registered society; (d) refusal to approve the change of name or place of business of the society, or amendment of its rules under section 11; (e) refusal to approve the establishment of a branch of the society under section 12; (f) cancellation of the registration of the society under section 13; (g) order prohibiting non-citizens from holding office in a society or prohibiting affiliation, connection, communication or other dealing with any society outside Malaysia and other matters stated in subsection 13A(1); (h) order to amend the rules or the constitution under subsection 13A(2); (i) refusal to approve an auditor or approving an auditor under subsection 14(4) who is unacceptable to the society; (j) making a provisional order for the dissolution of the society under subsection 14(5); (k) cancellation of the registration of a registered society under section 16 for failure to settle a dispute within the society; or (l) refusal to grant permission under section 49 to become an office-bearer, may, within thirty days from the date of the decision of the Registrar, appeal against the decision to the Minister; and the Minister whose decision shall be final may confirm, reject or vary the decision of the Registrar.

Mana-mana pertubuhan tempatan atau pemegang jawatan atau anggota pertubuhan tempatan itu atau mana-mana orang lain yang terkilan dengan keputusan Pendaftar dalam mana-mana hal yang berikut: (a) pembatalan pendaftaran pertubuhan di bawah seksyen 2A; (b) keengganan mendaftarkan pertubuhan itu di bawah seksyen 7; (c) keengganan memberi pengecualian di bawah subseksyen 9A(4) kepada orang yang hilang kelayakan untuk memegang jawatan dalam mana-mana pertubuhan berdaftar; (d) keengganan meluluskan penukaran nama atau tempat urusan pertubuhan itu, atau pindaan kepada kaedah-kaedahnya di bawah seksyen 11; (e) keengganan meluluskan penubuhan sesuatu cawangan pertubuhan di bawah seksyen 12; (f) p e m b a t a l a n p e n d a f t a r a n p e r t u b u h a n d i b a w a h seksyen 13; (g) perintah yang melarang bukan warganegara daripada memegang jawatan dalam suatu pertubuhan atau yang melarang gabungan, hubungan, komunikasi atau urusan lain dengan mana-mana pertubuhan di luar Malaysia dan perkara lain yang dinyatakan dalam subseksyen 13A(1); (h) perintah supaya meminda kaedah-kaedah atau perlembagaan di bawah subseksyen 13A(2); (i) keengganan meluluskan seorang juruaudit atau meluluskan seseorang juruaudit di bawah subseksyen 14(4) yang tidak diterima oleh pertubuhan; (j) pembuatan suatu perintah sementara bagi membubarkan pertubuhan di bawah subseksyen 14(5); (k) pembatalan pendaftaran suatu pertubuhan berdaftar di bawah seksyen 16 kerana gagal menyelesaikan pertikaian dalam pertubuhan; atau (l) keengganan memberi kebenaran di bawah seksyen 49 untuk menjadi seorang pemegang jawatan, boleh, dalam masa tiga puluh hari dari tarikh keputusan Pendaftar itu, merayu terhadap keputusan itu kepada Menteri; dan Menteri boleh mengesahkan, menolak atau mengubah keputusan Pendaftar itu, dan keputusan Menteri itu adalah muktamad.
