s 49 Liability of office-bearer of a society whose registration has been cancelled
(1) If the registration of any society, other than a society which is a political party, has been cancelled under section 2A, or paragraph 13(1)(b) or subparagraph 13(1)(c)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv),
(vi), (vii), (viii) or (ix), or under section 16, any office-bearer of such society at the time of such cancellation who after that time becomes or, after the expiry of thirty days from such cancellation, continues to remain an office-bearer of any other society without the permission in writing of the Registrar commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine not exceeding fifteen thousand ringgit or to both.
(2) Except where the registration of a society has been cancelled under section 2A or paragraph 13(1)(b), the restriction imposed on an office-bearer under subsection (1) shall cease upon the expiry of a period of five years beginning from the date of such cancellation.

Liabiliti pemegang jawatan pertubuhan yang pendaftarannya telah dibatalkan
(1) Jika pendaftaran mana-mana pertubuhan, selain suatu pertubuhan yang merupakan suatu parti politik, telah dibatalkan di bawah seksyen 2A, atau perenggan 13(1)(b) atau subperenggan 13(1)(c)(i), (ii), (iii), (iv), (vi), (vii), (viii) atau (ix), atau di bawah seksyen 16, mana-mana pemegang jawatan bagi pertubuhan pada masa pembatalan itu yang selepas daripada masa itu menjadi atau, selepas habis tempoh tiga puluh hari dari pembatalan itu, terus menjadi pemegang jawatan bagi mana-mana pertubuhan lain tanpa kebenaran secara bertulis Pendaftar melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi lima tahun atau didenda tidak melebihi lima belas ribu ringgit atau kedua-duanya.
(2) Kecuali jika pendaftaran sesuatu pertubuhan telah dibatalkan di bawah seksyen 2A atau perenggan 13(1)(b), sekatan yang dikenakan ke atas seseorang pemegang jawatan di bawah subseksyen (1) hendaklah terhenti selepas habis tempoh lima tahun yang bermula dari tarikh pembatalan itu.
