SECTION 1. The commitments of the Commonwealth of the Philippines under the International Agreement Regarding the Regulation of the Production and Marketing of Sugar and the Protocol annexed thereto, both signed in London on May sixth, nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, are hereby confirmed.
SEC. 2. The President of the Philippines is authorized President of the to enforce the terms, provisions, and restrictions of the aforesaid agreement and protocol as well as the regulations and decisions of the Provisional Council and of the International Sugar Council, in so far as they affect the Commonwealth of the Philippines.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval: Provided, That, in so far as it affects exports, it shall not take effect until the same shall have been approved by the President of the United States. APPROVED by the President of the Philippines on March 17, 1938 and by the President of the United States on April 29, 1938.
