Presidential Decree No. 1126 (PD 1126) — Conveying Lots 1, 2 and 3, Sw0-03-000002 Situated in the City of Angeles, to Barangay Claro M. Recto, Same City, to Enable It to Execute Certain Public Projects.
WHEREAS, the Barangay Council of Barangay Claro M. Recto, Angeles City, has petitioned for the conveyance of Lots Nos. 1, 2 and 3, Swo-03-000002 in favor of said Barangay to enable it to have a barangay hall and other allied improvements; and WHEREAS, the Mayor of Angeles City, the Secretary of Local Government and Community Development and the Secretary of Public Highways have all recommended the approval of said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree:
SECTION 1. There are hereby ceded, transferred and conveyed in absolute ownership for the nominal sum of one peso (P1.00) to Barangay Claro M. Recto, Angeles City, a political subdivision, created under Republic Act No. 3590, as amended, otherwise known as the "Revised Barrio Charter," Lots Nos. 1, 2 and 3, Swo-03-000002, situated in said City: Provided, That said Barangay may, with the approval of the Secretary of Natural Resources, exchange the lots herein conveyed with another parcel within its territorial jurisdiction which is suitable for the construction of its barangay hall and other allied improvements and/or sell one of the lots to generate funds to Sinderwrite such construction; and Provided, further That no portion within the 30-meter right of way of the Mac-Arthur Highway shall be disposed of.
SEC. 2. The Register of Deeds concerned shall register the deed of conveyance and issue the corresponding certificate of title to Barangay Claro M. Recto.
SEC. 3. This Decree shall take effect immediately.
