Continued Research and Technology Development.
SEC. 15. Continued Research and Technology Development. —With the current need to improve agricultural productivity, the Ministry shall intensively pursue research activities, and endeavor to develop new technologies which would economize the use of basic resources (land, labor and capital). The Ministry shall encourage the private sector to engage in similar activities by way of giving preferential accreditation in government programs.
SEC. 16. Extension of Preferential Technical Assistance in the Development of Agricultural Commodities Identified in the Agricultural Investment Priorities Plan. —The Ministry of Agriculture and Food shall ensure the inclusion of the preferred commodities in the areas to be covered by technical cooperation and external assistance programs for agriculture.
