AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE THIRD REPRESENTA­TIVE DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE INTO A SEPARATE ENGINEERING DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Section 1

SECTION 1. Any provision of law to the contrary not­withstanding, the Third Representative District of the Province of Leyte is hereby constituted into a separate engineering district, with its office at the Municipality of Villaba: Provided, That the existing engineering district in the Sub-province of Biliran which is also situated in the Third Representative District, shall remain a distinct and separate entity.

The district engineer for said engineering district shall be appointed in accordance with existing laws.

Section 2

SEC. 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for the same purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
