SEC. 2. Subsection (b) of section forty-seven of Act Numbered One hundred and thirty-six, as amended by section one of Act Numbered Three hundred and twenty-five, section one of Act Numbered Three hundred and seventy-eight, and section three of Act Numbered Five hundred and twenty-three, is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "(b) There shall be in the Bureau of Justice eleven officers learned in the law wiled assistant attorneys, who shall be appointed by the Governor-General, by and with the advice and consent of the Philippine Commission, and shall assist and represent the Attorney-General and the Solicitor-General in the performance of their duties. Each of said officers shall be entitled to a salary to be fixed by the Governor-General, with the approval of the Commission, which shall not exceed three thousand dollars per annum."
