Section 98
SEC. 98. Every railroad corporation shall, within two years after filing its original articles of incorporation, construct, complete, and operate at least live miles of its road, and at least five miles additional every year thereafter until the whole road is fully constructed and completed. Should any railroad corporation fail, after commencement of construction, to extend, complete, and operate its road for the distance required within the time prescribed, its right to extend its road beyond the point then completed shall ipso facto stand forfeited.
