SEC. 2. The funds herein appropriated shall be ex- i pended only for salaries of the technical personnel, traveling expenses, acquisition of instruments and medicines required for the immunization, purchase of animals for obtaining virulent blood, and for aid to the "insurance fund" of provinces in which immunizing stations are established: Provided, That contracts with the technical personnel employed for the purpose shall not be made for a period of more than one year and said personnel shall receive salaries not in excess of those hereinafter stated: One veterinarian, class three .................................... P5,000.00 Two veterinarians, class four ................................... 9,000.00 Four veterinarians, class five ................................... 16,000.00 Four veterinarians, class six .................................... 14,400.00 Two veterinarians, class seven ................................ 6,400.00 One employee, Class ............................................. 960.00 One employee, Class ............................................. 600.00 Provided, further, That whenever the necessities of the, service require it and there remains an unexpended balance of the funds appropriated by this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources may extend the contract period until such funds shall have been totally disbursed.
