SEC. 58. Overtaking.—(a) Upon signal by a faster vehicle desiring to overtake and pass another going in the same direction, the slower vehicle shall be conducted to the left of the center of the road at the earliest opportunity, to allow the overtaking vehicle to pass. (b) A person, or driver, or operator of a vehicle, attempting to overtake and pass persons or vehicles going in the same direction, shall exercise due caution, and shall yield reasonable right of way to persons or vehicles simultaneously attempting to pass in the opposite direction.
