SEC. 18. Section six hundred and eighty-six of the Administrative Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC. 686. Office records of attendance.—Each chief of a bureau or office shall cause to be kept on a proper form a daily record showing for each day any absence of any employee from duty, due to any cause, and the duration thereof. At the beginning of each month, he shall make report to the Commissioner of Civil Service of the absences shown by such records for the preceding month. Falsification of time records shall render the offender liable to summary removal from the service and subject him to prosecution as provided by law."
