Section 41

SEC. 41. Sale of seized personal property.—The property seized through proceedings under section thirty-nine hereof, shall, after due advertisement, be exhibited for sale at public auction to the highest bidder and so much of the same shall be so sold as shall satisfy the tax, penalty, and costs of seizure and sale. The purchaser at such sale shall acquire an indefeasible title to the property sold. In such cases notice shall be given through advertisements stating the time, place and cause of sale, posted for ten days prior to the date of the auction, at the main entrance of the City Hall and at a public and conspicuous place in the place where the property was seized. The sale shall take place, at the discretion of the city treasurer or his deputy, either at the main entrance of the City Hall or at the place where such property was seized. If no satisfactory bid is found in the aforementioned places, the sale may be made anywhere in the Province of Iloilo.
