SEC. 6. Cooperation and Assistance.-The local officials in their respective areas of responsibility shall extend the necessary support, cooperation ans assistance to the units of the Integrated National Police in order to enable the latter to perform their principal duty of preserving peace and order and insuring public safety therein.
