Section 31

SEC. 31. Section fifty-four of the same Act is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC. 54. Legal tender power. — All notes and coins issued by the Central Bank shall be fully guaranteed by the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and shall be legal tender in the Philippines for all debts, both public and private: Provided, however, That coins shall be legal tender in amounts not exceeding fifty pesos for denominations from ten centavos to one peso, and in amounts not exceeding twenty pesos for denominations of five centavos or less."
