Section 8

SEC. 8. ECAFE Unit.—The ECAFE Unit is renamed ESCAP (Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) Unit. The ESCAP Unit of the Philippine Committee on ESCAP matters is retained in the Department and its functions shall include, among others, to act as liaison agency for securing quick exchange of in-formation between the ESCAP Secretariat and the Philippine Government and the various governments in the ESCAP region and to work for the implementation of resolution or studies approved or undertaken by the Commission and ESCAP Secretariat, respectively.
