SEC. 3. The Center shall discharge the following functions : (a) To undertake fundamental studies and laboratory research in the natural sciences and mathematics, and to disseminate the findings of such studies; (b) To collaborate with the graduate schools of the University of the Philippines in creating a scientific climate and research tradition in the University in particular, and in the country in general; (c) To provide assistance, on request and when feasible, to other research agencies, government and private. (d) To collaborate, on request and when feasible with other schools, organizations or individuals in the furtherance of scientific knowledge and research.
