SEC. 50. Sale of seized personal property.—Unless redeemed as hereinbefore provided, the property seized through proceedings under Section forty-seven hereof, shall, after due advertisement, be exhibited for sale at public auction and so much of the same as shall satisfy the tax, penalty and cost of seizure and sale, shall be sold to the highest bidder. The purchaser at such sale acquires an indefeasible title to the property sold. The advertisement shall state the time, place and cause of sale, and be posted for ten days prior to the date of the auction, at the main entrance of the city hall and at a public and conspicuous place in the barrio or district where the property was seized. The sale shall take place at the discretion of the city treasurer either at the main entrance of the city hall or at the barrio or district where the property was seized. If no satisfactory bid is offered in the aforementioned places, another auction shall be had upon notice published anew.
