Section 98
SEC. 98. Action pending appointment of certain officials.--Pending the appointment of the city auditor, the city health officer, the city engineer and the chief of the fire department, the provincial auditor of Batangas, the district health officer of the same province, the highway district engineer and the chief of police of Batangas City shall act as, and perform the duties of, city auditor, city health officer, city engineer and chief of the fire department, respectively, who shall receive an additional compensation of one hundred pesos each per month.
