SEC.44. Establishment of Common Waste Treatment and Disposal Facilities. - Pursuant to Sec 33 of R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code, all provinces, cities, municipalities and barangays, through appropriate ordinances, are hereby mandated to consolidate, or coordinate their efforts, services, and resources for purposes of jointly addressing common solid waste management problems and/or establishing common waste disposal facilities. The Department, the Commission and local solid waste management boards shall provide technical and marketing assistance to the LGUs. CHAPTER IVINCENTIVES
