SEC. 20. Licensing of Sales Counselors. — No sales counselor shall be allowed to solicit, sell or offer to sell pre-need plans under this Code without being licensed as such by the Commission. No license shall be issued unless the following qualifications have been complied with: The applicant must be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude; The applicant has undergone a training program approved by the Commission and such fact has been certified under oath by a duly authorized representative of a pre-need company; and The applicant has passed a written examination administered by the. Commission: Provided, That the administration of the examination may be delegated to an independent organization under the supervision of the Commission. Such license shall automatically expire every thirtieth (30th) day of June or such date of every year as may be fixed by the Commission and may be accordingly renewed.
