Chief Executive Officer

s 22

22.—(1) There must be a Chief Executive Officer of the Institute, whose appointment, removal, discipline and promotion must be in accordance with the Public Sector (Governance) Act 2018.[5/2018] (2) The Board may, subject to the Public Sector (Governance) Act 2018, appoint an individual to act temporarily as the Chief Executive Officer during any period, or during all periods, when the Chief Executive Officer —(a) is absent from duty or Singapore; or (b) is, for any reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.[5/2018]

Employment of staff

s 23

23. The Institute may, subject to the Public Sector (Governance) Act 2018, appoint and employ, on the terms and conditions determined by the Institute, such other officers, employees, consultants and agents as may be necessary for the effective performance of its functions.[5/2018]

Protection from personal liability

s 24

24. No suit or other legal proceedings shall lie against any member or any employee of the Institute or other person acting under the direction of the Institute for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in the execution or purported execution of this Act.
