Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Act 2004 s 35M

s 35M Regulations for this Part

35M.—(1) The Authority may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations to give effect to the provisions and purposes of this Part. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), regulations may be made under that subsection for or with respect to all or any of the following matters:(a) conditions or restrictions applicable to designated entities; (b) the fees and charges payable under this Part, and the waiver, refund or remission, whether wholly or in part, of the fees and charges; (c) matters required or permitted to be prescribed by this Part or which are necessary or expedient to be prescribed to give effect to this Part. (3) Regulations made under subsection (1) may —(a) provide that a contravention of any specified provision of the regulations shall be an offence; and (b) provide for penalties not exceeding a fine of $5,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both for any offence specified in the regulations and, in the case of a continuing offence, a further penalty not exceeding a fine of $250 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.[Act 36 of 2022 wef 01/04/2023]
