s 132 Production of title deeds of witness not a party

132.—(1) No witness who is not a party to the suit may be compelled to produce his or her title deeds to any property, or any document by virtue of which he or she holds any property as pledgee or mortgagee, or any document the production of which might tend to criminate him or her, unless he or she has agreed in writing to produce them with the person seeking the production of such deeds or some person through whom he or she claims. (2) No witness who is a party to the suit is bound to produce any document in his or her possession or power which is not relevant or material to the case of the party requiring its production. (3) No bank may be compelled to produce the books of such bank in any legal proceeding to which such bank is not a party, except as provided by section 174.
