s 97 Exemption of agent who has no funds in hand
97.—(1) No person (A) receiving the rent of premises as receiver or agent for another person is liable to do anything by this Act required to be done by the owner of the premises if, after A or the actual owner has been required to do any work, A gives notice to the Director‑General within 7 days after the requisition has been made, that A does not have sufficient funds of the person on whose behalf A is receiving the rents to pay for the work. (2) In that case, the Director‑General may himself or herself execute the work and the expenses incurred thereby must be charged and recoverable as provided in section 92.
