s 325 Amendment of section 59
325. In the Animals and Birds Act 1965, in section 59, after subsection (2), insert —“(2A) Subsections (1) and (2) do not extend to —(a) prohibiting or regulating the keeping, breeding or feeding of any animal or bird to produce food or as food for human consumption; (b) prohibiting or regulating the keeping, breeding or feeding of any animal or bird to produce feed for consumption by food producing animals; (c) requiring any person intending to keep or breed any animal or bird to produce food or as food for human consumption to obtain a licence from the Director‑General and to comply with the conditions of the licence; or (d) requiring any person intending to keep or breed any animal or bird to produce feed for consumption by food producing animals to obtain a licence from the Director‑General and to comply with the conditions of the licence.”. “(2A) Subsections (1) and (2) do not extend to —(a) prohibiting or regulating the keeping, breeding or feeding of any animal or bird to produce food or as food for human consumption; (b) prohibiting or regulating the keeping, breeding or feeding of any animal or bird to produce feed for consumption by food producing animals; (c) requiring any person intending to keep or breed any animal or bird to produce food or as food for human consumption to obtain a licence from the Director‑General and to comply with the conditions of the licence; or (d) requiring any person intending to keep or breed any animal or bird to produce feed for consumption by food producing animals to obtain a licence from the Director‑General and to comply with the conditions of the licence.”.
