6.—(1) A seafarer below 18 years of age must not be employed or engaged, or work, as a ship’s cook. (2) Any person who employs or engages a seafarer below 18 years of age to work as a ship’s cook shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
