s 29 Registrar of Newspapers
29.—(1) The Minister may appoint a Registrar of Newspapers, and Deputy Registrars and Assistant Registrars of Newspapers, that the Minister thinks necessary for the proper administration of this Act. (2) The Registrar is charged with the general administration of this Act and the exercise of functions imposed on the Registrar by this Act. (3) The Registrar may authorise or appoint any person to assist him or her in the exercise of his or her functions and duties under this Act whether generally or in any particular case. (4) The Registrar and any person authorised or appointed by the Registrar under subsection (3) are deemed to be public servants for the purposes of the Penal Code 1871.
