State Courts Act 1970 s 49

s 49 Appeal not to operate as stay of execution or enforcement

49.—(1) An appeal from a District Court exercising civil jurisdiction does not operate as a stay of execution or enforcement or of proceedings under the judgment or order appealed from, unless the District Court or the General Division of the High Court so orders.[40/2019] [Act 25 of 2021 wef 01/04/2022] (2) No intermediate act or proceeding is invalidated except so far as the General Division of the High Court may direct.[40/2019] [Act 25 of 2021 wef 01/04/2022]
