(1) The title of this Order is the Higher Education (Wales) Act 2015 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2016.
(2) In this Order, βthe Actβ (β y Ddeddf β) means the Higher Education (Wales) Act 2015.

This is the second commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Higher Education (Wales) Act 2015 (βthe 2015 Actβ).

The following provisions of the Act come into force, to the extent specified, on the day after the day on which this Order is madeβ
(a) section 38(3) (duty to withdraw approval) for all purposes; and
(b) section 52(1) (statement in respect of intervention functions) for all remaining purposes.
The following provisions of the Act come into force, to the extent specified, on 1 August 2016β
(a) section 38(1) (duty to withdraw approval) for all purposes; and
(b) section 40 (publication etc of notice) for all remaining purposes.
The following provisions come into force, to the extent specified, on 1 September 2016β
(a) section 27(1) ( HEFCW βs duty to prepare and publish code) for all remaining purposes;
(b) section 27(5) and (6) for all purposes; and
(c) section 30 (procedure if draft code approved by Welsh Ministers) for all purposes.
