Sch 1A para 3 Offences
(1) A person commits an offence under the law of England and Wales if the person fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with a requirement imposed by paragraph 1(1) or (4). (2) A person guilty of an offence under sub-paragraph (1) is liable on summary conviction to a fine. (3) A person commits an offence under the law of England and Wales if the person— (a) fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with a requirement imposed by paragraph 2; (b) gives a notification, in purported compliance with such a requirement, of any information which the person knows to be false. (4) A person guilty of an offence under sub-paragraph (3) is liable— (a) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding the general limit in a magistrates’ court or a fine, or both; (b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or a fine, or both.
