art 2 Provisions coming into force on 26th October 2000
The following provisions shall come into force on 26th October 2000— (a) sections 14 to 16, 21, 24, 26, 29 and 102; (b) sections 11, 13, 22, 25, 27, 28, 31, 33 and 37, except in so far as already in force; (c) paragraphs 1 to 5 of Schedule 1 and section 23 to the extent that it relates to those paragraphs; (d) section 39, except subsection (3), and except in so far as already in force; (e) section 46 and Schedule 3; (f) paragraphs 1 to 7, 16 to 23, 29 and 33 of Schedule 5; (g) in Schedule 6, the repeal of the following provisions in the Local Authority Social Services Act 1970 — (i) section 2(2); (ii) in section 3(1), the words “(hereafter in this Act referred to as “social services functions”)”; and (iii) section 6(5); and (h) section 107 to the extent that it relates to the paragraphs and repeals referred to in paragraphs (f) and (g) of this article.
