Transfer of Secretary of Transportation's powers to Secretary of Navy when Coast Guard operates as part of Navy
When the Coast Guard operates as a part of the Navy pursuant to section 3 1 of title 14, the powers conferred on the Secretary of Transportation by section 191 1 of this title, shall vest in and be exercised by the Secretary of the Navy.
Definitions
In this Act: (1) United states .—The term "United States" includes all territory and waters, continental or insular, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. (2) Territorial waters .—The term "territorial waters of the United States" includes all waters of the territorial sea of the United States as described in Presidential Proclamation 5928 of December 27, 1988.
