Article 8
1. For places with a high cost-of-living increase (as measured by the change in the implicit indices), the correction coefficient shall come into effect before 1 January in the case of the intermediate adjustment, or 1 July in the case of the annual adjustment. This is so as to bring the loss in purchasing power into line with what it would be in a place of employment where the change in the cost of living corresponded to the sensitivity threshold. 2. The effective dates for the annual adjustment shall be as follows: (a) 16 May for places of employment having an implicit index higher than 6,3 %, and (b) 1 May for places of employment having an implicit index higher than 12,6 %. 3. The effective dates for the intermediate adjustment shall be as follows: (a) 16 November for places of employment having an implicit index higher than 6,3 %, and (b) 1 November for places of employment having an implicit index higher than 12,6 %.
